Plans are coming together

We are planning to go over to France at the end of July/beginning of August, once Kev retires.  We have booked Stefan our pilot for the Channel crossing...gulp!  We are hoping that The Thames behaves itself as we hardly got out last year.  We are booked for the winter at Auxerre and then we will go home to Mere, Wiltshire until Spring 2014.  All very exciting.....I must get going with my French lessons....Rossetta Stone here I come!

Rangali why did we call her that?

We did have a few different names we were thinking of to call our new boat, mainly various french wines that we love, but we decided to call her 'Rangali' after a beautiful island in the Maldives where we spent our honeymoon.  See below a photo of the idealic island and then photos of the 60ft Piper Dutch Barge being built and launched at the Thames & Kennet Marina.

Rangali Island.........Bliss!
At Pipers the size of her is sinking in!

Interior fit out well under way
